A collection of ancient olive-pickers' cottages, Xyloporta is more a hamlet than a villa. Each cottage has been converted and modernized to a high standard while retaining its unique character, combining the raw beauty of the Ionian islands with the comfort of your own home. In contrast to most Zakynthos villas, it is not a new-build but is formed from the original farm that fed and employed a family through generations. The words “Greece villa with pool” are not sufficient to sum up what Xyloprta has to offer guests - it is a holiday home in Greece, having been a family home over generations.
The cottages sit around a tranquil courtyard on a secluded five acre estate surrounded by olive groves, gracefully situated on a hill overlooking the Ionian Sea. The interiors are sympathetic to the heritage of the site, decorated in clean and classic whites and blues; with basins handcarved from the local limestone, the bathrooms are all furnished with good quality fittings, towels and toiletries. Few other villas in Greece with pools are as peaceful and secluded.
We can put you in contact with local chefs accustomed to cooking at various villas in Greece. who will provide delicious home cooked food or cook for the guests on the barbecue at Xyloporta. Various local tavernas can also deliver dinner to order.
Abi and her team will come in as and when required and will provide a full housekeeping service. Dimitris will be on hand for massage.
